Introduction

This is a perfect workshop to learn the processes and techniques required to create screen-printed images. Participants will explore ways in which to construct images using layers and consider ways to exploit the interaction between areas of flat colour when creating an image.
Alternative techniques will be covered – using drawing fluid and crayons directly onto the screen, for those who are more into drawing and the immediacy of the aesthetics that can be achieved by this medium; using an emulsion image exposure, to achieve more controlled, digital imagery.
This is an excellent workshop for beginners or those artists wishing to extend their experience in screen-printing techniques.

  Basic materials and equipment required for the workshop will be provided. Any additional materials required are to be purchased; limited quantities may be available from Tashkeel or directly from the workshop leader. Participants are advised to bring their own aprons.
