Introduction

This is an introductory course for new users of Adobe InDesign.
InDesign is a layout and design program for creating, managing and publishing documents. It is tightly integrated with other programs in the Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Photoshop and Illustrator). The tool bar has many of the same features, and images can be used directly from Illustrator and Photoshop native formats. http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/whatisindesign/
Indesign provides precise control over layout, placement of images, positioning and appearance of text and editing all of the elements of a document. You can use it to create newsletters, brochures, leaflets, advertisements, posters, sales material, books for home or commercial printing and many other types of publications including interactive PDF and presentation documents.
Through practical hands-on experience learn to build a layout from beginning to end using powerful layout and text handling feature, the integrated drawing tools and built-in Adobe Photoshop effects. Learn how to combine photographs, graphics, text, movies, sound and animation into one document for output to either print, online, or to an interactive pdf.
This course is suitable for anyone interested in creating their own page layouts or presentations as mentioned above. No formal prerequisite are necessary for this course.
