This workshop explores the opportunities presented by incorporating calligraphy into painted canvases. The workshop will be a combination of demonstrations, acquisition of practical skills and individual application of techniques. The emphasis will be on creating artwork through the process of layering and use of mixed media, combining abstract backgrounds with calligraphy motifs.
Demonstrations and practical guidance in the relevant processes and techniques required to produce such artworks will be given throughout the course and students will be encouraged to experiment with use of these techniques in order to create individual outcomes.

Each session will be scheduled as follows:
Part one 8.30 – 13.30 PM
FEES: FULL COURSE FEES MUST BE PAID ON REGISTRATION
Tashkeel members: 1440 DHS
Non-members: 1640 DHS
MATERIALS:
Basic materials and equipment required for the workshop will be provided. Any additional materials required are to be purchased; limited quantities may be available from Tashkeel or directly from the workshop leader. Participants are advised to bring their own aprons.
