DRAWING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BRAIN
Workshop leader: Martin Pakvis
Maximum number of participants: 5
Date of workshop: Saturday : 9,16,23,30 April 2011
This course “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” following the book of Betty Edwards is based on the premise that the left and right hemispheres of the brain process information in very different ways. Participants (beginners and advanced) will be taught how to draw in a natural way using the more unconscious part of the brain. In essence, the 'left brain' is logical, rational using words to describe concepts and able to manipulate abstract ideas, numbers and the concept of time. The right brain, in contrast, takes a holistic approach, sensing relationships and patterns, tends to be intuitive and irrational, and has no sense of time.
